From dependence on operating and managing physical servers to greater reliability, efficiency, and scalability: We migrated key information systems of Slovenská správa ciest to the cloud.
Slovenská správa ciest (SSC), as part of its responsibilities, also manages the Road Network Model Information System (IS MCS) and the Dispatch and Information Service (IS DSS).
These systems help provide central technical records of roads, route planning for heavy and oversized transport, bridge and pavement management, and related dispatch and information services. However, ensuring their smooth operation on physical servers was becoming increasingly challenging in terms of costs, flexibility, and long-term sustainability.
Challenge: The end of the "hardware" era.
The main objective of our project was to replace outdated and inefficient physical infrastructure with a virtualized cloud environment. The client needed to optimize costs, eliminate the need for continuous hardware investments, and gain an environment with maximum availability while minimizing the impact of unexpected outages on end users.
Solution: Managed migration to the MIRRI Government Cloud.
At SP Software Solutions, we do not experiment with our clients. We carried out the complex migration to the MIRRI Government Cloud (Azure) based on a detailed initial analysis and the strict, proven Cloud Adoption Framework methodology, covering all its key phases.
To ensure maximum efficiency, we fully automated the environment preparation phase using Terraform scripts. We unified management and eliminated processes that previously required manual intervention.
